TROUBLESHOOTING

I have an issue to Import, what to do next?

On this page

Most import problems come from an outdated Editorify Chrome extension or stale browser cookies and cache. Update the extension, clear your cookies and cache for all time, restart Chrome, then open Editorify again (from your Shopify admin, or from the Editorify dashboard on WooCommerce) and retry the import. Also check that your plan covers what you are importing.

Fix most import issues

  1. Update the Editorify Chrome extension to the latest version. The video below shows how.

How to keep the chrome extension updated?

  2. Open Chrome and paste this address into the address bar: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData

  3. Set the time range to "All time" and clear cookies and cached files (see screenshot).

  4. Restart your browser.

  5. Log in to your Shopify admin, open Apps and click the Editorify app.

  6. Go back to the supplier product page and try the import again.

If Chrome blocks cookies, the extension cannot talk to your store. See How to enable cookies with Chrome.

On WooCommerce

The steps are the same, with two differences:

Check what your plan can import

Some imports fail because the plan does not include them:

  • Free plan: 50 reviews per store, up to 3 per product, from AliExpress only, text reviews only (no photos or videos).

  • Premium and higher: unlimited imports from all 9 supported marketplaces, including photos and videos.

See Which marketplaces and websites are supported? and How to change plan.
